Castellón concludes 11th MUT performing arts festival

The eleventh edition of the MUT International Festival of Performing Arts without Text has concluded in Castellón. The festival, which features circus, dance, clowning, and visual arts, saw record-breaking public attendance according to local authorities.

The closing ceremony featured the performance ‘Fins al cel’ by the Valencian company Spinish Circo at the Plaza Mayor. The show utilized acrobatics, live music, and Russian bars to explore themes of personal limits and risk. Other notable performers during the final day included MAX Award winner Txema Muñoz with ‘Gota’, as well as contributions from Balagans, Avis de Tempête, and Manolo Alcántara.

María España, the Councilor for Culture, stated that the city is ‘overwhelmed by the response of the public who filled every single show.’ Official attendance figures for the two-weekend event are expected to be released following the conclusion of the festival.
