Castellón launches campaign against chemical submission

The Diputació de Castelló has launched a pilot campaign across 40 municipalities in the province to combat chemical submission. Under the slogan ‘Stop Submissió Química! Que ningú amargue la festa’, the initiative aims to increase safety during summer festivities.

The program provides information on the risks of psychoactive substances being administered without consent, warning signs, self-care measures, and resources for reporting incidents. The campaign specifically targets the prevention of sexual assaults and robberies, noting that young women and adults in nightlife settings are particularly vulnerable.

Most participating municipalities have populations between 1,000 and 10,000 residents, though others were included due to significant seasonal population increases during the summer months.
