Castellón Mayor reinforces support for traditional local commerce

The Mayor of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco, has reaffirmed the municipal government's commitment to supporting traditional and local commerce. During a visit to the newly opened Papas J. García shop on Colón Street, Carrasco emphasized that the arrival of new businesses aligns with the city's strategy to promote 'kilometer zero' products and maintain a vibrant urban center.

To bolster economic activity, the city has significantly increased its shopping voucher campaign budget, raising the allocation from 300,000 to 800,000 euros. This measure aims to provide direct support to both local establishments and consumers. Additionally, Carrasco noted the positive reception of the provisional location of the Central Market, which is operating while remodeling works continue on its main building.
