Castellón upgrades 33 playgrounds with €324,000 investment

The city of Castellón, led by Mayor Begoña Carrasco, carried out improvements to 33 children's playgrounds during July. The work is part of a new two‑year municipal contract awarded to the company Maquiver, with a budget exceeding €324,000 and covering roughly 200 playgrounds, calisthenics areas and biosaludable zones across all districts.

Renovations included repairing rubber pavement, replacing anchors on slides and swings, fixing climbing nets, removing graffiti and updating seating. The programme will continue through August and September, with additional interventions planned for sites such as Plaça Monte de Piedad, Parc de la Barrassota, the promenade of Morella and Germans Vilafaña.
