Castello di Reschio: A restored medieval fortress in Italy

Castello di Reschio, a 1,000-year-old medieval fortress located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, has been transformed into a luxury hotel and equestrian retreat. The 3,700-acre estate has undergone a three-decade restoration led by the Bolza family, who acquired the property in 1984.

The hotel features 36 suites and is accompanied by a collection of restored farmhouses converted into private villas. The estate, managed by Count Benedikt Bolza and Donna Nencia Corsini, emphasizes a blend of historic architecture and contemporary design through Reschio Studio.

A central feature of the estate is its state-of-the-art equestrian center, which houses dressage horses, primarily purebred Spanish horses. The facility includes the Teatro Equestre, where master trainer Antonello Radicchi conducts weekly performances.
