Castello di San Marco restores historic 1892 wine production site

The Palmento di Castello di San Marco, a historic wine production site dating back to 1892, has been restored in Calatabiano near Mount Etna. Originally used for pressing grapes and transforming them into must and wine, the facility has been repurposed into a wine lounge dedicated to tastings and storytelling.

The Murabito family led the meticulous restoration to preserve the site's identity while transitioning it into a hospitality space. The lounge serves selections from the Giardino di Pietra winery, which features over 400 labels with a specific focus on the enological heritage of the Etna region.
