Santa Severa Castle Hosts Week‑Long Summer Culture Festival
From 27 July to 2 August, the historic Castello di Santa Severa on the Lazio coast staged a diverse cultural programme. The week opened with the theatre‑narrative "Sarfatti – Vita di Margherita Sarfatti", followed by a family screening of the classic film Mary Poppins. Mid‑week featured the Rocco Papaleo film "Onda su onda" in collaboration with the Cineteca Nazionale, a performance by the Balletto di Roma, and a concert by the B‑AND WIND Orchestra. The schedule also included a live concert by singer‑songwriter Fabrizio Moro and a piano‑orchestra concert by Marco Sensi titled “Emozioni sotto le stelle”. The event, promoted by Regione Lazio and organised by LAZIOcrea with support from the Ministry of Culture and the municipality of Santa Marinella, aimed to blend heritage with contemporary arts for locals and visitors alike.
The festival offered programming for a wide audience, ranging from children’s activities to performances for adults, and highlighted the castle’s role as a cultural hub during the summer season.
