Castells Competition: Moixiganguers d’Igualada achieve tripleta màgica

The Moixiganguers d’Igualada achieved the ‘tripleta màgica’ at the Tarragona Castells Competition, successfully performing two basic 9-story towers accompanied by a 5-of-8 structure. Despite a failed attempt at a 3-of-9 tower with folre, the group secured eighth place in the competition. The event faced delays, moving from a 10:00 AM start to 4:00 PM due to inclement weather across much of the region.

Meanwhile, the Capgrossos de Mataró faced logistical challenges regarding mobility restrictions. Group leader Àlex Dorda stated the team planned to depart Mataró at 2:30 PM, shortly before the event's official start, to comply with local regulations. The group requested flexibility from organizers regarding arrival and departure times, noting that members were exploring private vehicle options to ensure participation and return home safely.
