Castelo Branco Municipal Assembly approves tax reductions

The Castelo Branco Municipal Assembly has approved several fiscal measures for 2027. These include maintaining the minimum Municipal Property Tax (IMI) rate at 0.3% and extending the exemption period for primary residences for an additional two years.

Additionally, the assembly approved a reduction in the local IRS rate from 0.75% to 0.5% for 2027. The assembly also unanimously approved fixed IMI deductions based on the number of dependents: 30 euros for one child, 70 euros for two, and 140 euros for three or more.
