Castelo Saint Andrews hosts Tartufo Bianco Festival

Castelo Saint Andrews, located in Gramado, will host the Tartufo Bianco Festival on October 31 and November 7. The event celebrates the peak season of the white truffle, a rare fungus found exclusively in Italian regions such as Alba in Piedmont and parts of Tuscany.

The festival features a five-course menu highlighting the white truffle, paired with wines from small family producers. Notable selections include wines from the Bramante Cosini winery, specifically the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. The event aims to honor Italian culinary traditions through this seasonal ingredient, which must be served shortly after being harvested by specialized hunters known as trifolau.
