Castelsardo reports 90% hotel occupancy amid positive tourism season

Castelsardo has concluded a highly successful tourism season, achieving a 90% hotel occupancy rate. According to data presented by Vice Mayor Giuseppe Ruzzu at the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, the town saw approximately 24,500 visitors to its castle in September alone.

The municipality is now focusing on seasonal diversification, aiming to attract tourists during off-peak months such as December. This strategy involves leveraging local history, culture, and traditions to extend the tourism window beyond the summer months.

Regional trends in Northern Sardinia also showed strength, with September occupancy rates rising to 85%, up from 83% the previous year. International interest is growing from markets including the United States, Canada, and Poland, alongside established flows from France, Germany, and Spain.
