Castelvecchio inaugurates new pedestrian and cycle path

A new pedestrian and cycle path has been inaugurated in Castelvecchio, connecting via Andreoli to the Pump Track area near Goffredo Alterisio. The 14-meter steel structure, which features a 3-meter wide deck divided into two lanes, was funded by the PNRR with a total investment of 305,000 euros.

The project follows a 24-month authorization phase involving environmental, landscape, and seismic assessments to meet regional soil defense requirements. The construction phase was completed in five months by Barbera SRL. Local officials stated the infrastructure aims to improve neighborhood connectivity and safety for families and children accessing recreational spaces.
