Castilla-La Mancha activates METEOCAM weather alert plan

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has activated the METEOCAM (Specific Plan for Risk from Adverse Meteorological Phenomena) in Alert Phase - Operational Situation 0 - for the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real, and Guadalajara.

The activation follows orange-level warnings from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) regarding heavy rainfall and storms. In Albacete, forecasts include potential precipitation of 30 mm in one hour, large hail, and very strong wind gusts. Additionally, yellow-level warnings have been issued for intense rainfall, with accumulations of up to 60 mm over 12 hours in parts of Albacete.

In the La Mancha regions of Ciudad Real and Cuenca, AEMET predicts rainfall of 15 mm per hour alongside storms, hail, and strong winds. The 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Service has begun notifying local town halls and intervention groups to prepare for these weather events.
