Castilla-La Mancha appoints new digital transformation leadership
Castilla-La Mancha has appointed new leadership for its digital and telecommunications sectors. Lola Higuera González has taken office as the managing director of the Digital Transformation Agency, while María Asunción Cañada Belda has been named the general director of Telecommunications Infrastructures and Cybersecurity.
Regional Minister Juan Alfonso Ruiz Molina emphasized that while leadership changes, the regional government’s digital roadmap remains consistent. The initiative aims to use digital transformation to improve public services and citizen life.
During a recent healthcare management conference, Lola Higuera highlighted the role of technology in improving public services, particularly in the healthcare sector. She noted that digital tools, such as telemedicine, remote monitoring, and artificial intelligence for diagnostics, serve as equalizers for public services across the geographically dispersed region, helping to provide personalized care regardless of a patient's location or socioeconomic status.
