Castilla-La Mancha approves new hunting regulations

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has approved a new hunting regulation, Decree 56/2026, to be published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha. The measure aims to ensure orderly and sustainable hunting practices while balancing hunting activities with the conservation of biodiversity and natural habitats.

Key objectives of the new regulation include promoting rural economic and social development, increasing legal certainty, and simplifying administrative procedures through electronic administration. One significant update addresses the management of hunting grounds (cotos) involving parcels with unknown or unreachable owners. The decree establishes a procedure to incorporate these parcels into hunting grounds through public announcements in municipal boards, the Official State Gazette, and the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, ensuring rights are preserved while facilitating management.
