Castilla-La Mancha delivers new vehicles to environmental agents
The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has delivered the final batch of 23 4x4 pick-up vehicles to the regional Environmental Agents corps. This delivery completes a contract for 100 all-terrain units intended for natural environment work, forest fire prevention and extinction, and emergency management.
In addition to the pick-ups, the regional government introduced two new 6x6 multi-function Multilift vehicles for the Infocam forest fire prevention and extinction system. These versatile vehicles feature a module exchange system, including a water tank with approximately 9,000-liter capacity to support firefighting operations.
The total investment for the vehicle acquisition contract amounted to 5.2 million euros, financed through European FEDER funds. The new KGM Musso Pick-Up models are equipped with specific features for difficult terrain and forest environments. The distribution of the vehicles covers various provinces, including Cuenca, Guadalajara, Toledo, Albacete, and Ciudad Real.
