Castilla-La Mancha hosts Tecnodependencia seminar in Alcázar de San Juan
The Tecnodependencia Castilla-La Mancha seminar, titled ‘Technology at the Service of Well-being’, was held in Alcázar de San Juan on September 18. The event focused on integrating technological innovation with human care to personalize support for dependent individuals.
During the seminar, José Manuel Ramírez Navarro, president of the State Observatory of Dependency, noted that Castilla-La Mancha holds a high score of 8.3 out of 10 on the state scale, highlighting the region's leadership in advanced telecare. Bárbara García Torijano, the regional Minister of Social Welfare, emphasized that the region is entering a new stage in the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependency (SAAD), currently serving over 82,700 people with approximately 124,000 active services.
The seminar also coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Dependency Law and follows recent legislative reforms regarding dependency and disability. A second edition of the seminar is scheduled to take place in Valdepeñas during the first quarter of 2027.
