Castilla-La Mancha hunting season faces mixed species outlooks

The upcoming hunting season in Castilla-La Mancha and Ciudad Real is characterized by varying outlooks for different species. Large game hunting shows favorable expectations, particularly due to the expansion of wild boar populations.

In contrast, small game hunting faces uncertainty. Rabbit populations show significant regional disparity, with some areas experiencing overpopulation that causes agricultural damage, while others have very few rabbits. Partridge breeding has been irregular across different zones, and hare populations continue a slow recovery from the effects of myxomatosis.
