Castilla-La Mancha launches ASTRA bus line connecting Hinojosa, San Román and Pepino to Talavera

The regional government of Castilla‑La Mancha inaugurated a new ASTRA demand‑responsive bus service on Monday, linking the municipalities of Hinojosa de San Vicente, San Román de los Montes and Pepino with the city of Talavera de la Reina. The ceremony was attended by Lucía Balmaseda, Director General of Transport and Mobility, provincial delegate Jorge Moreno, and the mayors Roberto Cano, Luisa Nieto and José Ignacio Díaz.

The line operates five departures from Hinojosa to Talavera on weekdays (07:00, 10:00, 13:30, 17:00, 20:00) and four return trips (08:30, 11:30, 15:00, 18:30). On Saturdays two trips run each way (09:30/15:30 outbound, 11:00/17:00 inbound). The service aims to improve access to work, education, health and administrative facilities across the Talavera comarca. Officials indicated that a further ASTRA Velada‑Talavera line is planned before the end of the year to complete metropolitan coverage.
