Castilla-La Mancha Media launches 22nd season of ‘Héroes Anónimos’

The public service program ‘Héroes Anónimos’ is launching its 22nd season on Castilla-La Mancha Media. Directed and presented by Julián Cano alongside co-presenter Raquel Salinero, the show aims to highlight the work of professionals, associations, and entities contributing to a more just and solidary society.

To coincide with International Breast Cancer Day on October 19, the season premiere will focus on the Spanish Association Against Cancer to raise awareness about cancer, the leading cause of death in Spain. The program intends to showcase the “invisible work of many professionals and volunteers who accompany patients and their families,” according to Cano.

In addition to health awareness, the new season will feature regional culture, such as the windmills and traditional culture of Guadalajara and the Montes de Toledo. The show will also pay tribute to the 162nd anniversary of the Spanish Red Cross and the 175th anniversary of the Beethoven Philharmonic of Campo de Criptana. Other topics include gender violence, women's addiction, education, and ataxia.
