Paco Núñez accuses Emiliano García-Page of hypocrisy over Ceuta

Paco Núñez, president of the People's Party (PP) in Castilla-La Mancha, has accused regional president Emiliano García-Page of displaying a “double face” regarding the situation in Ceuta.

Núñez claims that while García-Page publicly expresses solidarity with the people of Ceuta and criticizes the central government, his party's leadership has acted differently. Specifically, Núñez pointed out that Sergio Gutiérrez, a high-ranking PSOE official, defended the central government's actions in the Congress of Deputies. Furthermore, the PP leader alleged that socialist mayors in the region were instructed to boycott solidarity demonstrations and that the regional parliament was prevented from debating the Ceuta crisis.

In response, the PSOE has defended García-Page, citing his “coherence” and commitment to the interests of Castilla-La Mancha. Socialist representatives argued that the PP's criticisms are driven by partisan interests rather than regional welfare.
