University of Castilla-La Mancha announces major funding increase

The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) is undergoing significant institutional and financial expansion. President Emiliano García-Page announced a new Program-Contract expected to exceed 1.3 billion euros, representing a 30% increase in public funding through 2031. Additionally, a 100 million euro infrastructure agreement is set for approval to expand the campus in Ciudad Real.

In terms of academic and professional collaboration, UCLM has signed a four-year framework agreement with the Association of Journalists of Ciudad Real (APCR). This partnership aims to promote research, specialized training, and professional practices in the field of communication, including granting APCR members access to university bibliographic resources.

Other regional academic developments include the University of Mallorca signing a collaboration agreement with Grupo Policlínica to provide medical and health science students with clinical practice opportunities in Eivissa. Meanwhile, the Journalists' Association of Castilla y León has launched its second edition of awards for the best undergraduate theses in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication.
