Castilla-La Mancha to tender Pastrana Ducal Palace for hospedería

The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha is preparing to launch a tender for the conversion of the Palacio Ducal de Pastrana into a regional hospedería. Patricia Franco, the Counselor for Economy, Business, and Employment, announced that the project is in its final stages and expects the tender to be released before the end of October. The plan involves a 45-year public-private partnership concession to allow a private company to manage and protect the heritage site.

The project follows a 2021 agreement where the University of Alcalá ceded the building to the regional government. This initiative is part of a broader effort to boost regional tourism, which includes a new promotional campaign titled ‘Castilla-La Mancha todo el año’ to be presented at FITUR. Additionally, the government is managing 80 applications for tourism aid in the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara region, supported by a 3.5 million euro investment.
