Castilla y León approves €33.5 million agro‑environmental subsidies under PAC 2025
The regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development in Castilla y León has authorized the final disbursement of €33.5 million in agro‑environmental aid and support for farms in zones with natural limitations. The payment covers 15,158 farmers and livestock producers, including €27.6 million for 14,216 beneficiaries whose holdings are located in constrained areas.
Since the payment period began on 16 October, a total of €48.8 million has been allocated to 24,569 primary‑sector professionals. The agro‑environmental scheme comprises ten intervention lines, such as ecological agriculture, sustainable agro‑industrial crops, extensive forage use, sustainable pasture management, beekeeping, extensive dry‑land systems, minor crops, permanent crops, organic fertilisation and pure autochthonous breeds. In April and May, €5.8 million was paid to 942 producers for the agro‑environmental lines, with only the pure‑breed line and a small number of recent entrants still pending. These payments complete the PAC 2025 campaign for the region before the regulatory deadline of 30 June.
