Castilla y León celebrates 25th Buscasetas mushroom gastronomy event
The 25th edition of the Buscasetas – Tierra de Sabor gastronomic-mycological sessions will take place from October 31 to November 15 across the nine provinces of Castilla y León. A total of 149 bars and restaurants are participating, marking an increase of 16 establishments compared to the previous year, including 13 new participants.
This year’s edition introduces a new “A la Carta” format, allowing businesses to integrate mushroom-based dishes into their standard menus alongside traditional fixed menus and tapas. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment and Environmental Policy, the participation is distributed as follows: 74 venues offering mycological menus, 17 providing tapas, and 53 including mushroom preparations in their regular menus.
Geographically, Valladolid and León lead with 28 establishments each, followed by Zamora with 22, Burgos with 18, Palencia with 11, Salamanca and Segovia with 10 each, Ávila with nine, and Soria with eight. The event is promoted by the Euro-Toques cooking community in collaboration with the Tierra de Sabor brand to promote the region's mycological diversity.
