Castilla y León defends transparency of healthcare waiting lists

Carlos Fernández Carriedo, spokesperson for the Junta de Castilla y León, has defended the regional administration's transparency regarding healthcare waiting lists. This response follows allegations of data manipulation in Madrid's Ramón y Cajal hospital.

Carriedo stated that the regional government provides periodic information on waiting lists by hospital and specialty to ensure citizens have accurate data. He noted that public services remain a priority for the administration and highlighted positive rankings in independent reports, such as the DEC index, where the region currently holds first place among common regime autonomous communities.
