Castilla y León forms new government under Alfonso Fernández Mañueco

President of the Junta, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, announced the composition of the new Castilla y León regional government, describing it as a "strong" executive prepared to advance the community’s transformation. The cabinet includes twelve ministers—eight men and four women—with five newcomers and seven incumbents. Mañueco named Carlos Pollán as first vice‑president and minister of deregulation, family and social aid, while Isabel Blanco became second vice‑president, overseeing housing, territorial planning, equality, depopulation and civil protection.

Key portfolios were reshuffled: María González Corral moved from agriculture to environment and energy, and Juan Carlos Suárez‑Quiñones shifted from environment and housing to industry, universities, employment and commerce. The new ministry of Mobility, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence was created, headed by Cristina Sanchidrián. Mañueco emphasized the team’s competence and its role in promoting prosperity for the region.
