Castilla y León leaders focus on industrial investment and exports

Business leaders and regional authorities in Castilla y León are focusing on strengthening the region's industrial and export capabilities. Fernando Llera, director of international business development at Unicaja, highlighted that exportation is a structural strength for the community, noting that the trade balance reached a historic high in 2024. He emphasized the need for companies to view internationalization as a long-term sustainable project rather than short-term sales opportunities, calling for support from public administrations and financial institutions.

In the province of León, the Junta de Castilla y León, CEOE Castilla y León, and the Federación Leonesa de Empresarios (Fele) are analyzing the current state of industrial parks and business areas. This initiative aims to map the province's industrial assets to identify opportunities for attracting new investments and supporting the growth of existing companies. Fele President Juan María Vallejo stated that the study is a vital tool for orienting decisions and advocating for necessary infrastructure and investments to secure the region's business future.
