Castilla y León orders 1.8 million euro aid for wildfire-affected farmers

The regional government of Castilla y León has ordered the payment of 1,864,500 euros to 339 professional farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers affected by summer wildfires in the provinces of Ávila, León, Segovia, and Zamora.

Each beneficiary will receive an initial aid payment of 5,500 euros per farm. This amount may increase up to a maximum of 25,000 euros per farm depending on the final assessment of damages. This disbursement is part of the first phase of a recovery program for areas impacted by the 2026 summer forest fires.
