Castilla y León PP proposes seven candidates for TDT Council

The Popular Group (PP) has proposed seven candidates to join the Evaluation and Monitoring Council of Digital Terrestrial Television (TDT) in Castilla y León. The nominees include Leticia García, José Luis Sanz, Mercedes Cófreces, Alberto Palacios, Pelayo Fernández, Enrique García, and José Manuel Pérez.

The new 17-member council is structured based on proportional parliamentary representation, consisting of seven members from the PP, six from the Socialist Party, three from Vox, and one from the Mixed Group. Established following the reform of the Institutional Advertising Law, the council is responsible for setting annual public interest objectives for regional TDT services and determining their financing conditions.

According to the council's regulations, candidates must possess significant professional merits in public administration, the audiovisual sector, or media. The PP's selection aims to balance profiles with backgrounds in public service and those with extensive experience in journalism and communication.
