Castilla y León to host regional tapas and pinchos competition in León

The II Official Pinchos and Tapas Contest of Castilla y León will take place on September 28 and 29 at the Palacio de Exposiciones in León. The event aims to showcase miniature cuisine, bringing together chefs from all nine provinces of the region to demonstrate creativity, technique, and the use of local products.

Representing Soria in the competition are Silvia Soriano from Taberna Mercedes and José Antonio Antón from La Chistera. Soriano will present ‘Trucha a la deriva’, a dish featuring sustainably raised Duero Natura trout. Antón will present ‘Espejito, espejito…’, a creation that previously earned recognition at the Soria Mycological Tapas Week. The jury for the contest will be presided over by renowned chef Pepe Solla.
