Castilla y León wins Best Stand award at FITUR 2026
Castilla y León has been awarded the ‘Best Stand’ prize at the FITUR 2026 international tourism fair. The recognition was received by Rebeca Arroyo, the Director General of the Fundación Siglo para el Turismo y las Artes de Castilla y León.
The award was granted unanimously by the jury, which evaluated the design, brand image, and functionality of the exhibition space. Castilla y León was one of only three regional administrations to receive a FITUR distinction during this edition.
The winning installation, located in Pavilion 9 of the IFEMA complex, spanned 929 square meters. Designed to metaphorically represent the cosmos, the stand utilized architectural elements, thematic lighting, and audiovisual tools to provide an immersive experience focused on the region's astrotourism potential. The presentation operated under the slogan ‘Castilla y León, el cielo nos ha elegido’, referencing the total solar eclipse that occurred on August 12.
