Castilla‑La Mancha launches outdoor cinema festival in Consuegra and Cazalegas

Carmen Teresa Olmedo, the regional vice‑minister for Culture and Sports, presented the ‘A la luz del cine’ initiative in Toledo. The program brings cinema and audiovisual arts to heritage and natural sites across Castilla‑La Mancha, turning outdoor landmarks into open‑air screening venues.

The 2024 edition will focus on Consuegra, using the Cerro Calderico area, its windmills and castle, and on Cazalegas, where films will be shown beside the local reservoir. The event combines film projections with meetings with actors and directors, live music, gastronomy and other cultural activities, aiming to stimulate cultural tourism and community life in the rural area. The regional government is contributing €18,137 to support the project.
