Castillo de Niebla Festival concludes with sold-out performance of ‘Fedra, en los infiernos’

The 41st edition of the Castillo de Niebla Theater and Dance Festival concludes with the performance of ‘Fedra, en los infiernos’. Produced by the Diputación de Huelva, the event has reached full capacity for its closing show.

Directed by José María del Castillo, the play is a contemporary reimagining of the classical myth. It marks the theatrical return of actress Lydia Bosch after 37 years. The production is a co-production involving the Mérida International Classical Theater Festival, La Raíz Producciones, and Coribante Producciones.

The narrative follows Fedra as she seeks a second chance from the Moiras to rewrite her history and find peace after her previous life's turmoil involving her stepson, Hipólito. The play explores themes of human passion, moral judgment, and social prejudice.
