Castlevania: Belmont's Curse preview reveals 2D action-exploration gameplay

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is a forthcoming 2D action-exploration game developed by Evil Empire in collaboration with Konami. Set in 1499 Paris, the story follows Rose, the daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha, as she battles supernatural threats invading the city.

Producer Tsutomu Taniguchi stated the goal is to return to the franchise's roots of 2D action-exploration. The narrative focuses on themes of legacy and the weight of being a Belmont. Players will primarily control Rose as she navigates environments ranging from Paris sewers to ruined, burning streets. The game is expected to release around October.
