Castracani and Roveri reach quarterfinals at U16 European Tennis Championships

Italian players Camilla Olga Castracani and Zeno Roveri have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Under 16 European Tennis Championships held in Parma.

Castracani, the sixth seed, secured her spot by defeating Belgium’s Daniels with a score of 6-1, 7-5. Following the match, Castracani noted that she remained lucid and utilized technical advice from her coaches to manage her opponent's momentum in the second set. She is scheduled to face Germany’s Brand in the next round.

While Castracani and Roveri progressed, other Italian competitors were eliminated during the round of 16. Riccardo Pretolani lost to Norway’s Thorsnes in three sets (6-0, 4-6, 6-4), and Viola Severi was defeated by Germany’s Steinkamp (6-2, 6-3).
