Castro Marim hosts 21st annual sea swimming race

The 21st Vila de Castro Marim Sea Race took place at Praia da Alagoa in Altura as part of the 32nd Algarve Open Water Swimming Circuit. The event drew 213 swimmers for two main categories: an official 1,500-meter race and an 800-meter promotional race.

In the official men’s race, Rodrigo Dias of Sporting Clube de Portugal secured first place with a time of 18m05s. The women’s official category was won by Rita Neves of Condeixa AC, who finished in 15m52s. In the 800-meter promotional race, Constança Jerónimo from Sporting CP took the women’s title, while Francisco Novo was the fastest in the men’s category.
