Castrocielo: Minor cyclist airlifted to Rome after truck collision
A minor cyclist was airlifted to a hospital in Rome following a road accident in Castrocielo on October 7, 2026. The collision occurred near the highway toll booth in the Leuciana area, involving a Scania truck driven by a 39-year-old resident of Anagni.
The cyclist, a boy born in 2011 who is a resident of Belgium currently staying in Roccasecca, received initial medical assistance from local emergency services. Due to the nature of the incident, he was transported via helicopter to the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome for further evaluation. While his condition is not reported to be life-threatening, authorities are working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident to determine responsibility.
