Castrop-Rauxel Music Night Set to Become Annual Concert Event

The third edition of the Castrop‑Rauxel Music Night will take place on Friday, 25 September, in the Aula of the Adalbert‑Stifter‑Gymnasium. Organisers Bürgerstiftung Agora and the Herner concert agency MuT‑Konzerte aim to establish the concert series as an annual fixture on the last Friday of September.

Artists Marion Wilmer, Nigel Casey and a third performer will present a programme that mixes musical classics with international pop hits, including songs by Whitney Houston, George Michael, ABBA, James Bond themes and numbers from the musical Starlight Express. Rainer Kruck, deputy chairman of the Bürgerstiftung Agora, said, “We both have the vision that the Music Night becomes a recognised term in Castrop‑Rauxel.” Founder of MuT‑Konzerte Thomas Lubbers added that the programme will stay “musically engaging, especially in the final third of the evening.” Visitor numbers have risen sharply since the first two editions, indicating growing local interest.

The organisers hope the event will become a permanent part of Castrop‑Rauxel’s cultural calendar, offering residents a recurring evening of well‑known songs and lively performances.
