Castrop-Rauxel Youth Welfare Office to host first open house in 20 years

The Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt) in Castrop-Rauxel is hosting an open house at the House of Youth and Family on September 26, from 11:00 to 14:00. This event marks the first time the facility at Bochumer Straße 17 has opened to the public in approximately 20 years.

Visitors can learn about various departments, including general social services, integration assistance, youth criminal justice, foster care services, and adoption mediation. The event aims to demonstrate the office's role in supporting families with issues regarding child development, upbringing, and financial assistance. Teresa Stratmann-Thiede, coordinator of the Child Protection Network, will participate with a focus on children's rights.
