Castrovillari Film Festival announces 14 films for 8th edition

The eighth edition of the Castrovillari Film Festival, an international festival for auteur short films, will take place from August 27 to 30 at the Castello Aragonese in Castrovillari, Italy. Organized by Chimera APS under the artistic direction of Antonio La Camera and Francesco Sottile, the event received 1,395 entries from 87 different countries.

The official selection features 14 films, including 12 in competition and two out of competition, alongside two special screenings. The program is divided into three main categories: International, Italian, and Calabrian. International entries include works from France, Mongolia, Lithuania, Belgium, and Spain. The Calabrian section will be highlighted on August 30 in collaboration with the Calabria Film Commission.

Screenings are scheduled for 21:00 each evening, with the awards ceremony for the three competitive categories set for Saturday, August 29.
