Cat Okegawa appointed VP and GM of Ohana Media Group Alaska

Ohana Media Group has promoted Cat Okegawa to Vice President and General Manager of its Alaska operations, effective September 1. In this role, Okegawa will oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic direction for seven stations serving Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.

The stations under her leadership include KBYR-AM 700, KBBO-FM 92.9, KFAT-FM 92.9, KXLW-FM 96.3, KMBQ-FM 99.7, and KRAK-FM 102.1. Okegawa will also continue to lead the company’s sales division, aiming to align programming, operations, community engagement, and revenue strategy.

Okegawa joined the company in March 2024 as an Account Executive before being promoted to Local Sales Manager. Ohana President and CEO Sco Lindahl noted that the promotion reflects confidence in her ability to lead the Alaska operations through a period of growth.
