Cat perception and personality traits revealed

New insights into feline biology and psychology suggest that cat owners may share specific personality traits with their pets, such as independence, attention to detail, patience, and high emotional empathy. Experts note that cat ownership often aligns with lifestyles that value personal freedom and quiet companionship.

Furthermore, recent visual simulations have revealed significant differences in how cats perceive the world compared to humans and dogs. While cats do not see significantly more colors than dogs, their visual acuity is superior to both. Most notably, cats process visual information at a much higher rate; while humans process between 30 and 60 frames per second, cats can process approximately 100 frames per second. This accelerated perception contributes to their rapid reflexes and ability to land on their feet during falls.
