Cat rescued from vehicle in Augsburg, Germany and Laakirchen, Austria

In Augsburg, Germany, a cat that had leapt from the sixth floor of an apartment building became trapped behind a car's exhaust pipe in the Hochzoll district. Firefighters attempted to free it with a water jet, then called a towing company with a crane. The vehicle was lifted and part of the exhaust was dismantled, allowing rescuers to release the cat, which was handed to its owner and taken to a veterinary clinic.

In Laakirchen, Austria, a cat entered the engine compartment of a parked car and could not escape on its own. Local firefighters were alerted, located the animal, and removed several panels from the vehicle to create an opening. The cat was then extracted and transported for further treatment.
