Küçükçekmece: House cat prevents theft attempt by four women

In the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, a house cat named Mucize successfully prevented four women from entering a residence during a theft attempt. The incident occurred on Thursday in the Halkalı neighborhood of a residential complex.

Security footage shows the four unidentified suspects first breaking into an apartment on the 10th floor before moving to a 12th-floor unit belonging to the Dada family. Upon opening the door to the Dada residence, the suspects were met with resistance from Mucize, a cat that has lived with the family for eight years.

The cat reportedly defended the entrance for approximately 45 minutes, using paw strikes to repel the intruders during four separate attempts to enter. The footage shows the women wearing gloves and attempting to kick the cat to gain access, but they ultimately failed to enter the home and fled the building after remaining on-site for about two hours.

Bahar Dada, the owner of the cat, confirmed that she discovered missing items from her home the following day and has filed a formal complaint with the police. She expressed gratitude to the cat for protecting the home, noting that Mucize is known for being highly aggressive toward strangers.
