Catalan cultural initiatives launch Miró anniversary cycle and Muses Festival
The Catalan art landscape is hosting several cultural initiatives this autumn. The ‘Miró. Art i territori’ cycle, organized by the Xarxa de Museus d’Art de Catalunya, is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Joan Miró Foundation. This initiative involves twenty museums across the region and features forty specialists in art, literature, and philosophy. On November 26, the Sitges Museums will host a dialogue titled ‘Miró-Rusiñol, viatge i evasió’ at the Museu de Maricel, exploring the creative connections between Joan Miró and Santiago Rusiñol.
Simultaneously, the third edition of the Muses Festival is taking place between October 3 and November 21. The festival aims to promote female talent in music and will be held across seven municipalities, including Reus, Tarragona, and Valls. The programming includes live music, dance, and textile arts, featuring artists such as Judit Neddermann, Júlia Colom, and Raquel Lúa.
