Catalan language courses announced for 2026/27 term

Various educational programs for learning the Catalan language have been announced for the 2026/27 period.

In the Nou Barris district, the Vincles project by Òmnium Cultural is offering free Catalan conversation groups. These sessions are held at various locations, including schools such as Elisenda de Montcada and Jesús Maria Claudina, as well as community centers like Ateneu la Bòbila and Casal de Barri Torre Baró. Some groups are open to the general public, while others are reserved for specific school families or students.

Additionally, the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CPNL) is offering a wide range of adult Catalan courses across multiple levels, from initial (A1) to superior (C2). These courses are available both in-person and online, focusing on communicative competence for daily, academic, or professional use. Prospective students must undergo a placement test between September 1 and September 4. Registration periods are divided into a preferential turn for returning students in mid-September and a general turn for new students following shortly after.
