Catalan organizations sign agreements for architecture and smart lighting

In Catalonia, two separate professional agreements have been established to advance the architecture and smart technology sectors.

ITeC and the Association of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen institutional ties. The partnership aims to promote knowledge transfer and professional cooperation, specifically facilitating membership for ITeC architects within the COAC to support the development of the construction and architecture sectors.

Separately, the Catalonia Lighting Cluster (CICAT) and the TALQ Consortium have entered a partnership to promote interoperability in smart outdoor lighting. By incorporating CICAT into the TALQ Partner Program, the initiative seeks to introduce open standards to the Spanish lighting ecosystem. The goal is to enable different manufacturers' solutions to communicate within a common architecture, helping smart cities deploy connected infrastructures that can evolve without being tied to a single provider.
