Salvador Illa Prioritizes Financing Reform and PISA Investigation
Catalonia President Salvador Illa said the region has regained stability and institutional normality, highlighting the agreement on a new financing model, the approval of the regional budget and progress in housing, mobility, education, industry and security.
He set the approval of the new financing model as a priority, stating that the September 4 meeting of the Spanish Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy will end excuses for the debate. Illa announced public‑works contracts worth €1.4 billion to be tendered by December, pledged to take the PISA investigation to its conclusion and confirmed that he will not change his ministers.
