Catalan sporting clubs host seasonal recognition ceremonies

Local sporting organizations in Catalonia are hosting recognition ceremonies for the 2025-2026 season.

In Roses, the Grup d'Esports Nàutics (GEN Roses) held its ‘Nit del GEN’ at the Ciutadella. Approximately 90 participants, including athletes, coaches, and families, attended the event to celebrate past achievements and introduce teams for the 2026-2027 season. Sections recognized include rowing, sailing, windsurfing, and swimming.

Meanwhile, Sant Cugat is preparing for its 25th ‘Nit de l'Esport’ at the Emma Vilarasau Theatre-Auditorium. The gala will present the ‘Premis Esport en Marxa’ to honor outstanding local athletes, clubs, and entities. This year's edition focuses on the relationship between sports and mental health, featuring a roundtable discussion with international athlete and psychologist Zoya Naumov, tennis coach Pepe Demi, and hockey goalkeeper Martina Díaz.
